What to expect
During our first few sessions, we'll get to know each other, make sure we're a good fit, and decide on some goals for working together. After that, I check in regularly to make sure you feel heard and that we're working on issues that are important to you in ways that feel productive and safe.
My approach to therapy is casual and conversational. I believe that healing occurs within healthy relationships, and that starts in the therapy room. I bring my authentic self into every session so that you can bring your authentic self into the world.
I am a client-centered therapist and believe in meeting you where you are on any given day. I believe in empowering you to explore at your own pace and will focus on the goals that matter most to you.
I earned a Masters degree from Pepperdine University in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'm also trained in the Gottman Couples Therapy approach, which focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and creating shared meaning. I have worked in a variety of settings and have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in clinical and non-profit settings.
As a registered pre-licensed therapist, my work is clinically supervised by Laurel Roberts-Meese, LMFT. That means she and I regularly talk about the people I am working with and share ideas about the best way to help you achieve your goals. Think of it as getting two therapists instead of just one! You can read more about what a prelicensed therapist is and what the benefits to working with one are here.
ISSUES I WORK WITH
I believe that deep healing most often occurs within a supportive and safe relationship. I aim to create a space for exploration and healing so that you can grow in the direction of your authentic self. I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey and am excited to see where we can go.
Therapy works its magic when the teamwork between therapist and client is strong. My intention is to prioritize you in our work together so that you feel comfortable and empowered in our sessions. Whatever your goals, I am excited to offer support and collaboration so you can lead your best life.
