It takes an immense amount of strength and courage to reach out and take an active role in making changes in your life. I honor where you are and understand that you are the expert of your own life. Life can take its toll and feel overwhelming. A lot can feel out of our control. The good thing is we are never alone, even if it feels that way.
What to expect
During our first few sessions, we'll get to know each other, make sure we're a good fit, and decide on some goals for working together. After that, I check in regularly to make sure you feel heard and that we're working on issues that are important to you in ways that feel productive and safe.
I greatly value collaborative and strengths-based approaches, striving to work together to reach your goals. I work from a wide range of therapeutic lenses, including Narrative, Solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment, and trauma-focused therapies. I'm trained in the Gottman approach to couples therapy and especially love working with LGBTQ+ couples.
I earned a Masters degree from Chapman University in 2017, and I hold a certificate of proficiency in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I'm also trained in the Gottman Couples Therapy approach, which focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and creating shared meaning. I have worked in a variety of settings and have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in clinical, residential, and non-profit settings.
