Mission
Laurel Therapy Collective is a group practice whose mission is to meet the current demand for high quality private therapy while nurturing and empowering therapist talent through the intentional building of collaborative professional community.
Values
Community – Employees are mutually invested in each others’ successes. We celebrate our individual and shared wins, explore our challenges, and build long-lasting professional relationships. We believe there are abundant professional possibilities for all of us and delight in supporting each other at any opportunity.
Collaboration – We share information, knowledge, ideas, and passion for the science and art of therapy, and put our heads together to provide the best care possible.
Curiosity – When conflict, challenge, surprise, fear, or uncertainty arise in our work, we strive to understand and connect with ourselves, our clients, and our colleagues rather than reacting.
Creativity and structure – We celebrate and encourage original thinking and ingenuity that is also grounded in solid clinical practice and serves the best interest of each individual client and colleague.
Cultural humility and social justice – We seek to celebrate, understand, and uplift cultures, voices, and experiences different than our own, and to actively work to unlearn harmful beliefs and attitudes we have been conditioned to take on. Anti-racism, intersectional feminism, body positivity, sex positivity, and many other social justice movements are at the foundation of how we work as therapists.
Integrity – We hold ourselves and our colleagues to the highest level of professional integrity and honesty. We seek to further the reputation and professionalism of the field of psychotherapy.
