Benefits of Online Therapy

  • Effectiveness: online therapy has been repeatedly proven in academic studies to be as effective as in-person therapy for most issues
  • Convenience: see your therapist without having to worry about travel, parking, and associated costs such as extending childcare or time away from work. You can see your therapist regardless of illness, mobility, weather, or traffic
  • Access to a specialist: depending on where you are, there may not be a therapist near you who specializes in what you want to work on
  • Privacy: online therapy offers access to a licensed professional without having to go into a counseling center or medical office
  • Deeper work: some people feel safer expressing emotion or discussing difficult topics online than in person, allowing for more effective and beneficial therapy

How Does Online Therapy Work?

We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for all our video sessions. Prior to each session, you'll receive a unique link to join a video chat. Just click and make sure you have a private, quiet place to talk for 50 minutes with good internet connection. From there, we'll proceed just as we would in person. Newcomers welcome!

It's no secret that therapy can be incredibly beneficial for people struggling with mental health issues. In recent years, there has been a growing trend of people seeking out therapy services. However, not everyone has the time or resources to visit a therapist in person. This is where online therapy comes in. Online therapy offers many of the same benefits as traditional in-person therapy, but it is more convenient and accessible. Let's take a look at some of the benefits of online therapy.
Convenience and Accessibility
One of the biggest benefits of online therapy is that it is much more convenient and accessible than traditional in-person therapy. You can access online therapy services from anywhere in the world, at any time of day or night. All you need is a computer or mobile device and an internet connection. This makes online therapy ideal for people who have busy schedules or who live in rural areas with limited access to mental health services.

Anonymity and Privacy
Another benefit of online therapy is that it allows you to remain more private. You don't have to worry about anyone seeing you walking into a therapist's office.

Better Social Interaction Skills
Some research has shown that people who participate in online therapy have better social interaction skills than those who do not participate in online therapy. This is because online therapy gives people the opportunity to practice communicating with others in a safe and non-judgmental environment. This can be beneficial for people who have difficulty communicating their thoughts and feelings verbally.

There are many benefits of online therapy, including convenience, accessibility, privacy, and improved social interaction skills. If you are struggling with mental health issues, please feel free to schedule a consultation.
